Pre-Season Injury Prevention Screening for Baseball
A pre-season functional screen can identify strength and mobility issues that could lead to overuse symptoms during the season. Identifying the propensity for these issues before the season begins allows programs to be put in place to decrease the likelihood of these symptoms as the season progresses.
Join Johnson & Hayes Physical Therapists for a free pre-season screen. We're local to the community, and we want to see our local athletes excel at a sport they love. Thus, these screens are free and open to anyone in high school or college.

He graduated from Grissom High School, where he lettered in baseball and basketball, and went on to play baseball at Gadsden State Community College. He then played baseball at Birmingham-Southern College, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology/Psychology.
Scott went on to receive his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Alabama – Birmingham, and later received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Alabama – Birmingham. He then worked as a Physical Therapist/Administrator at HealthSouth for 4-1/2 years.

The importance of quality rehabilitation became evident at an extremely young age. After graduation from Grissom, Todd played baseball for two years at Gadsden State Community College, and then went on to play at Lipscomb University.
